OSJ is the international marine science journal in the North-East Asia, first published by Republic of Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology and Republic of Korea Society of Oceanography. The journal aims to lead the development of marine science in Republic of Korea and promote marine science research.
OSJ has endeavored to become the representative academic journal in the North-east Asia since its foundation. As a result, the journal was listed on 2002 National Research Foundation of Republic of Korea’s Journal Evaluation in the shortest time, and was also listed on famous journal database such as Elsevier’s SCOPUS, Thomson Reuter’s Zoological Record, and BIOSIS Preview.
In 2009 OSJ prepared a new springboard for becoming the best international journal by establishing a strategic alliance with Springer. Finally, OSJ was listed on Science Citation Index Expanded(SCIE) in August 2014.
